Description

This beautiful girl is a celluloid doll dressed in a detailed outfit in traditional Christmas colors of red, green and white. The clothing is clean and bright, including felt hat, vest and shoes. She wears a cotton print apron with red velvet ribbon belt, cotton print skirt, white cotton blouse, white panties, and tiny white socks. Everything is elaborately trimmed with red and green edging and rick-rack. The eyes are painted blue, and the molded hair is a pristine honey blond color.
On the back is the "winged mermaid" mark attributed to the
Adelheid Nogler Innsbruck Doll Company, who used the mark of
Cellba Celluloid
Warenfabrik or
Schoberl & Becker. The number 25 is the height in centimeters. or about 10 inches.
Celluloid dolls are extremely fragile, and this one has survived the years in original condition.
No damage or repairs are visible on this lovely doll.  She is jointed at hips and shoulders; head does not move. The elastic stringing of the legs is somewhat loose, consistent with the doll's age. Please review all photos as an important part of the description.
