SET of three
, charming, early celluloid,
German, Kewpie
dolls,
circa 1918
, with feet molded together to stand,
two with tiny
blue
molded and painted wings
, third doll does not have wings. They measure 2 1/4" tall, with painted
side-glancing eyes
, cute little molded tufts of hair and smiling, watermelon-shaped mouths, arms molded away from their bodies. Great detail to each. One is
marked in raised numbers
on his back:

(and more that is too tiny to read). Believe the two with wings are by
Karl Standfuss of Germany
and the other is another unknown German maker. As the antique, "
Ladies Home Companion
" page suggests you may put them each in a
Valentine greeting
or keep them all for yourself to display! Magazine page is
